Celebrate National Library Week at Your Local St. Johns County Public Library

St_Johns_County1St. Johns County, FL – The St. Johns County Public Library System joins libraries nationwide in celebrating National Library Week April 12 – 18. National Library Week is a time to highlight the changing role of libraries, librarians, and other library support staff.

Libraries and librarians transform lives in the community through innovative educational resources and forward-thinking programming. Libraries take part in closing digital divide by providing free access to information and technologies that many in their communities would not have access to elsewhere. These services are available to anyone regardless of race, ethnicity, creed, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or socio-economic status.

“The library has always been a place of unlimited possibilities,” said Debra Rhodes Gibson, St. Johns County Public Library Director. “Whatever your interest or need, the library and the library staff are here to provide you the resources you need to accomplish your goals and dreams.”

The St. Johns County Public Library System serves their residents by providing: books, audios, movies, electronic resources, online databases, public Internet computers, e-government tools, programs for adults and children, and community meeting spaces. For more information, visit the nearest St. Johns County Public Library branch, bookmobile stop, call 904-827-6925, or www.sjcpls.org
